As January has just started, it’s the perfect time to tell you more about the Sea Destinations, the newest experience created by Costa Cruises. The Sea Destinations are available for some cruises in the Mediterranean Sea and Northern Europe. They will start in spring and summer 2024. But they’ll also be included in some cruises in the Caribbean and Emirates next winter.
What does it deal with ?
At the beginning, you must know that this new concept will make passengers live magic moments while at sea.
Take the example of an itinerary in the Mediterranean :
Even if the screenshot is in French, you can see three yellow points.
Those three yellow points are situated at sea and they represent the three new experiences passengers will be able to live during their cruises.
Let’s have more information about those three points :
French breakfast in the rocky inlets of Marseilles, stargazing and mapping show with sea mammals.
When we attended the Ceremony of Protagonisti del mare last November, we discovered a bit of stargazing.
Besides, you should know that this experience is the result of a partnership with the Italian astronomical observatory. Once the ship has reached the right point, the captain will slow down the speed and switch off all the lights. The ship will be in the middle of the sea without any light pollution. Passengers will be invited to go on the upper decks to admire different constellations.
Captains have a great knowledge of stars and they know where to position the ship in order passengers to enjoy the constellation shows.

I’m sure that the Sea Destinations in Northern Europe will be breathtaking. Can you imagine having breakfast in front of the Seven Sisters Waterfall in Norway ? Yes, I know that I’m not unbiased because I love Norway and its fjords.
